Jesalyn was born and raised in California, particularly the Sierra Nevada foothills. Apart from growing up a mountain girl with camping, quad riding and horseback riding, she was privileged to travel. Having been to Sweden, Jamaica, Mexico, Hawaii, Maine and so on... Jesalyn was exposed to many different cultures; all of which have fed her creativity.
It was just after the birth of her son Jared that she jumped into writing her first book, Fabled Desires. It was published by Fountain Blue Publishing and released in June 2014. Her first children's book (co-written by her son Jared Riddle) titled Leo's Tiger is scheduled to release in 2017. Two of her short stories titled "Serenity Lake" and "Sedna" have been published with Fountain Blue Publishing. She also been a freelance writer for the Sanger Scene, a local online community magazine specializing in Sanger.
In 2016, Jesalyn began her online blog called "Kenpo Girl." Kenpo Girl is dedicated to discussing all styles of martial arts and how they effect the people that study them. Kenpo Girl since its conception boasts an average of 3-4 thousand readers a month. She also studies martial arts and is an active member and instructor at Double Dragon Kenpo Karate in downtown Sanger.
Jesalyn is also an artist specializing in Photography and her Bone Painting Sculptures. When Jesalyn isn't behind the camera she can be found in front of it modeling.
When not working on her arts, she can be found outside gardening, camping, hiking and horseback riding. Jesalyn still lives in California with her four year old son Jared.
